Inpiration struck when trying to text one of our buddies oversees and the fact is - we couldn't! Most US cell phone companies restrict your text messaging abilities to domestic number and let's face it - that just won't cut it. Some of us like to travel abroad, and most of us know at least some people who live abroad. Sometimes, you just have to tell them something awesome and tell them now. Enter in TextJive! You come up with what to say and we take care of the rest!
How is it free? We offer free text messaging by showing minimal advertising on the site. For free, we offer 25 messages which you for most of the features on the right including a daily horoscope and texting your friends. For the recipient, the message is the same as any other incoming message - we don't charge a thing!
How does it work: First, you create an account and enter in all your contacts and they're information. You can choose to have messages delivered to a phone, e-mail or both.
- Let's say you're over here
- 1. Create a message to our special 6-digit short code
- 2. The first line of the message should be the name of the person you are sending your message to
- 3. Hit send — it's that easy!
- Let's say you're over there
- 1. Create an e-mail message on your phone
- 2. Enter the recipient in the subject line
- 3. Type your message
- 4. Hit send — it's that easy!
But what happens? Seriously. We take your phone number, check out the contact from the list in your account, and then route your message to wherever the desired receipient is.
